Mosasaur Tooth
Mosasaur tooth from Morocco.
The Mosasaur lived in the late Cretaceous period, about 66 – 70 million years ago and measured up to 17 meters long.
Mosasaur breathed air and lived, mostly, near the surface of the water but could also dive deep for a time.
This specimen was found in the phosphate deposits in the Oulad Abdoun Basin near Khouribga, Morocco.
