Pliosaur paddle bone from Weymouth, Dorset.
157-152 million years old.
Pliosaurs had a short neck and elongated head, with hind flippers larger than front flippers, which is the opposite of Plesiosaurs. They ranged between 4 and 10 meters or more in length and may have preyed on sharks, dinosaurs and other sea dwellers.
